Swedish media 'Skog Supply' reports a coming record year for the Swedish sawmills as both consumption and exports increase. It's going well for Swedish sawmills, 2017 can be the strongest year in 10 years 'Dagens Industri' reported. "The consumption of boards and planks in Europe, China and North America is increasing" tells the head of the Wood business area within SCA. Three major consumption regions are on the rise and it is a bit unusual. Now we have a big market in Asia for sawn timber as well. Another sawmill group ‘Vida’ has earned more money in the first half of 2017 than in the previous year. The CEO of Vida, further says "We have not seen the profitability that we have now since 2007, just before the financial crisis.
